Corpus Christi’s conventional Dia de los Muertos blowout pageant has been canceled, however the spirit of the season shall be stored alive with a downtown altar contest. Businesses and residents are decorating their storefronts and home windows with altars or ofrendas.
Pageant creators Ok Area Up to date artwork gallery and studios and Electra Artwork Axis Tattoo will present a map of altars for these desirous to take a downtown tour. The map shall be out there in print and on-line. Collaborating companies can have maps handy out at no cost.
The altars shall be up Oct. 28-Nov. 13. Altars and decorations may even be included in a digital exhibit.
