Eight-year-old Derek Prue was enjoying together with his sisters in a resort swimming pool earlier this month, when his dad known as out to him from the pool’s edge.

“I used to be glad and I used to be a bit confused,” Derek instructed CBC’s Edmonton AM. “I did not know he was going to try this.”

Prue mentioned he determined to get the tattoo after noticing his son insisted on sporting a shirt once they went to the pool. 

“I knew he was self-conscious about it,” Prue mentioned, choking up. “I noticed how he was reacting, and it made me wish to do it in order that he would not be the one one.”

Derek says he was a bit suspicious when his mother requested to take photos of his birthmark, however he did not know what his dad had deliberate.

‘It is fairly painful’

Apparently Prue did not know what he was in for both.

When Derek’s mother Shanel Prue requested him if he’ll go swimming with out his shirt after the pool reveal he mentioned he would.
