A father has inked his love for his son into his physique with a painful tattoo that spreads throughout his torso.
Derek Prue acted after his son, Derek Prue Jr, eight, insisted on carrying a shirt on the swimming pool to cowl a big birthmark on his chest.
“I knew he was self-conscious about it,” Mr Prue instructed the Canadian Broadcasting Company. “It made me need to do it so he wouldn’t be the one one.”
The daddy from Stony Plain, Alberta, received a tattooist to repeat the mark however he didn’t reckon with the ache of 9 sittings over 30 hours. Tony Gibbert, proprietor of the Juicy Quill studio, instructed the broadcaster that Mr Prue had “been via the wringer”.
