ANN ARBOR, Mich. – All proceeds from particular tattoos accomplished Oct. 19 at Ann Arbor’s Fortunate Monkey Tattoo and its sister store, Pretty Monkey Tattoo and Piercing in Whitmore Lake, might be donated to a company that helps homeless folks.
Coronary heart Key tattoos might be $50. Cash from the gross sales will go to Avalon Housing, a charity that builds housing communities for the homeless.
The design, which is about 2 inches massive, is out there on a walk-in foundation solely. They are going to solely be tattooed on legs and arms.
Fortunate Monkey Tattoo’s Carrie Metz-Caporusso designed the tattoo.
She stated she selected Avalon Home to learn from the tattoos due to a “extreme lack of reasonably priced housing within the Ann Arbor space.”
“We selected the Coronary heart Key design to characterize the phrase ‘House is the place the center is’ and since everybody deserves a protected place of their very own,” she stated.
Metz-Caporusso has a purpose of elevating $1 million for charities. She has held different tattoo fundraisers, elevating $22,000 for a company that fights for the rights of people who find themselves transgender, a basis that helps sexual assault survivors and a fund for victims of the Flint water disaster.
Fortunate Monkey Tattoo is positioned at 3024 Packard Road in Ann Arbor. The store is open from 12:30-8 p.m.
Pretty Monkey Tattoo is positioned at 9541 Major Road in Whitmore Lake. The store is open from midday to 7 p.m.
