A proud dad will all the time have his “superhero” son with him – after utilizing his ashes in a tattoo on his leg.
Kevin Pitcher is ready to run a marathon in reminiscence of Benny, who died on July 12 last year aged six after losing a battle with cancer.
Mr Pitcher, from East Runton, has had Benny’s ashes combined with ink in a tattoo on his leg, which reveals father and son strolling off into the space, and the phrases ‘You do not have to be 6ft 6” to be a Superhero’.
Mr Pitcher and a bunch of supporters are hoping to boost not less than £10,000 via the August 8 run, which can begin exterior Sheringham Main College at 9am and end exterior the Crown pub on Lifeboat Plain, Sheringham, at round 3pm.
Proceeds will go in the direction of East Anglia’s Kids’s Hospices (EACH), Cromer Kids’s Charity and a 3rd charity Mr Pitcher and his spouse, Julie, are establishing known as Benny’s Battalion, which can assist different households with kids who’ve most cancers.

“I could not dwell with myself if I did not fulfill my promise to my son. Hopefully with the cash raised we may also help different households and different sick kids with most cancers.
“Not everybody has the buddies or the assist community that we’ve, and we need to be there for the households who’re informed their baby goes to die and so they have no-one else to show to.”
Mr Pitcher, who has been coaching for 18 months, will run with Benny’s ‘Iron Man’ radiotherapy masks, whereas fellow runner Ben Letzer will carry his ‘Hulk’ masks.
Mr Pitcher mentioned: “It will be a wrestle, but it surely’s nothing in comparison with what Benny went via. If he can do this I can do something.”
