Oscar Akermo, a Swedish tattoo artist and master of tattoos was born in Sweden. He started his career at the age 14 when he began to tattoo. Oscar has entered the American tattooing market with a mission to disrupt it with innovative tattoo equipment and training for newcomers with the launch of his brand Blāck.

Oscar Akermo was a Swedish citizen, born in Uddevalla. He has been drawn to art since childhood. From sewing his clothing, over scribbling and drawing, to creating unique music, Oscar’s early childhood was riddled with bursts of inspiration and creativity.
He built his first tattoo machine at the age of 15 just a year after he was introduced to tattooing. He didn’t know at the time that he would become one of the greatest tattoo artists of all time. But his drive and talent were evident from the beginning.
Oscar was drafted as one the first European artists by Bang Bang Tattoos two years after he finished his Uddevalla (Sweden) apprenticeship. Oscar began his US career in the 21-year-old age, determined to perfect his art.
Oscar is featured on the subject of tattooing, and how it has dominated his entire life.
“I started tattooing because I wanted to have tattoos. Drawing was something I have always done. I would make crossbows and toys out of wood and scrap metal, and I would always draw the blueprints for whatever I did, and when the time came around, when I started getting interested in getting tattoos, I figured I should tattoo myself.”
Oscar kept talking about his childhood experiences and said that his first tattoos were done when he was ten years of age.
Oscar Akermo is now 27 years old and is leading his business as a tattoo art entrepreneur, Launching a cutting-edge tattoo equipment and educational brand called Blāck Tattoo Systems.
