Mystic Images Tattoo has Award-Winning Professionals
Adam Harber is a professional tattoo artist who has more than 25 year experience. He also owns a Noblesville-based business. Mystic Images Tattoo Inc., a tattoo- and piercing parlor, is located in the center of the city, at 10th and Clinton Sts. This parlor offers full-service tattoo and body piercing services. It has award-winning specialists who can perform piercings as well as cover-ups and portraits.
Harber began tattooing in 1996. Harber worked at 13 tattoo shops in Indiana before taking a break to reevaluate and set his goals. Harber wanted to start his own tattoo shop after years of practice.
“I was able to get different perspective on tattooing in those other shops,” Harber says.
He was a Noblesville resident and started his own company. Mystic Images Tattoo, Inc., was named after Mystic Road, Noblesville.
Mystic images Tattoo originally opened just 1/2 block from where it is now. Harber, through hard work and perseverance, landed his current spot off 10th Street in 2014.
While Noblesville is not Mystic Images Tattoo’s only location, Harber and his team have been especially successful here. Noblesville is considered one of America’s coolest cities by Harber.
“I love the people, Noblesville is just a really good community,” Harber says. “I think Noblesville was the best place to have my business. I have a studio in Illinois, and the town doesn’t even compare.”
He is loved by the entire community. Mystic images tattoo has been a mainstay in Noblesville. Adam does not know the total number of customers the shop has received. There is always a steady stream of people coming in and out. It’s impossible to guess. However, he has an inkling of the number of people that show up at their busiest times.
“We are averaging about 110 tattoos just on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights alone,” Harber says. “I average about four tattoos in a day alone.”
Business isn’t slowing down at all with a shop that employs nine artists and three tattoo piercers. It’s actually quite the contrary. Harber points out that all of his artists are exceptionally talented, bringing in a lot of clients. Harber also praises the community, “We have really great community support, and it keeps us super busy.”
Harber says that the shop has seen an increase in patrons over recent years. RJ Hunter (the shop manager) is an important part of the continued growth of the shop.
Harber, his Mystic Images Tattoo staff and many customers travel long distances to receive tattoos or piercings. Notably, one client of Adam’s has traveled across oceans to receive a tattoo. A police officer from France was Mystic Images Tattoo’s customer from abroad.
Mystic Images Tattoo has a wide variety of tattoos. Every artist is unique in his or her own style and personal approach to their work. Adam stated that his favourite work was black-and-grey realism photos, as well as illustrative style art. His son AJ, who is a photo-realism artist, has attracted a new clientele.
Tattoo artists are highly respected by their community and are often awarded. Harber stated that RJ Harber, Harber, and their team participate in as many competitions possible. Harber has 17 tattoo awards to his name. RJ is a shop manager and has received 11 awards.
Mystic Tattoos Inc. is a prominent business in Noblesville. Mystic Images Tattoo became a major business in downtown Noblesville within eight years. Harber is the proud owner of Mystic Images Tattoo and he gives back to the neighborhood he lives in.
“I think we achieved being a staple in Noblesville by doing the best we can,” he says. “Effort through the process and caring about the outcome.”
The recognition from his peers and community made him feel humbled and thrilled.
