Some people don’t associate tattoos and investing in stock markets. You may also be a passionate tattoo artist and place high value on the stock exchange. Why not show off your unique expertise in the stock markets?

After searching the Internet, we found five top tattoos that are related to the stock exchange. As we looked at the stock market’s traditional figures and symbols, several exciting concepts came to us.

Read on to learn the meaning behind the top 5 stock market tattoos we’ve found.

1. Design Inspired By “The Wolf Of Wall Street”

Inked Magazine’s ink was inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s classic The Wolf of Wall Street. It is based on Jordan Belfort’s true story. Mastering the stock market as a broker was only the beginning of Belfort’s ascent and fall. He eventually chose to live a life full of corruption and crime. It’s not only the cash and DiCaprio’s attitude that make this tattoo awesome; it’s the tattoo itself. However, there are several approaches to sketching DiCaprio’s Belfort persona, depending on which sequences are used as references.

2. What If We Look at “The Wolf of Wall Street” Differently?

From the folks at Tattoo Snob comes this fresh take on “The Wolf of Wall Street.” This unique and in-depth take on a stock market tattoo, as well as the film and Belfort’s tale, is something we like. For those looking for a minimalistic design, a lined wolf tattoo might be an option. Don’t forget to highlight the Wall Street angle!

3. A Charging Bull inspires design

The stock market’s bull and bear symbols, which use zoo animals as analogies, are among the first things newcomers learn. A “bull market” occurs when both the stock market and the economy are growing. In contrast, a “bear market” occurs when the reverse happens, and stock prices fall. We also like the meaning and background of this unique tattoo idea from Tattoo Easily, which features the monument of the Charging Bull on Manhattan’s Wall Street.

4. Tattoo of a Bear

Let’s take a few more cues from the bear and the bull now. The bear in your tattoo design might stand for the ominous possibility of a decline in your investment portfolio’s worth. The tattoo Tattood has this bear looking out at the stock market to symbolize the fast changes in financial markets. Yet, it is not easy to be dangerous!

5. Stock Market Tattoo that Features both the Bull And the Bear

The design can be combined from the Pet Press bull- and bear motif. This tattoo is unique because it features a striking geometric pattern with a pop of color. The tattoo signifies that the bull has triumphed over the bear and represents a healthy market. It is up to you how this meaning is understood. You can also imagine other situations in which these two creatures may interact.

What is the best tip you can give a stock market tattoo artist?

Watching how other service providers tip, like hairdressers, massage therapists and waiters can help you learn the right amount to tip tattoo artists. Are you looking for new tattoos? While half-sleeves tattoos may be more expensive than full sleeves, it is worth leaving a tip.

Pat Sinatra, president of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists, states, “As with other gratuities, tipping is a sign of gratitude for outstanding service and good product.” But unfortunately, because many employees in the service industry make just the federal minimum wage or a commission and percentage cut, we often leave gratuities for our wait staff and hair stylists. Even for tattoo artists, it’s like this.

Chicago tattoo parlor owner Patrick Cornolo agrees, saying, “Tipping is quite usual in tattooing.” If you are satisfied with your tattoo artist’s work, tipping is welcomed but not required.

Is it a good idea to tip the artist if you get a tattoo?

Tipping your tattoo artist is highly recommended.

Sinatra claims that tattooists “often” pay as much as half of their income to the shop’s owner since they are “renting a chair or space.” The artist could make $100 per $200 tattoo, but spend two hours on your skin.

Even if the shop’s owner is inking you, Sinatra says it’s customary to tip the artist. Clients “frequently believe they don’t need to reward the owner,” adds Sinatra. “But if the owner is working with others in the studio, and their job is recognized,” then a tip is appropriate.

Which Tip Should I Give Them?

You can find out a lot more about the tipping habits of other service providers like hairstylists and massage therapists as well as waiters and waitresses by studying how they tip their staff.

Sinatra replies, “Frankly, anything that is affordable to you is welcome.” “In this era post-COVID, a proposed ratio of 20% to 25% for personal services is acknowledged norm.”

Cornolo claims that the average tip is between 15% and 20%, but it could be much higher. Certain customers tend to be more generous than others with tips. For a $500 tattoo, how much should you tip? In this instance, the acceptable tip would be $75 to $125. However, tipping $15–$25 is appropriate if you have less artwork done or get touchups done for $100.

Customers reward tattoo artists repeatedly with goodies like movie tickets or doughnuts. Cornolo agrees that these are lovely gestures showing appreciation for the worker’s time and effort.

How about Tipping Multi-Session Tattoos

An ink job isn’t always completed in a single sitting. Cornolo says that the Speakeasy Custom Tattoo tattooists take on large pieces of work which require many visits.

He explains that customers that need more than one sitting “either tip per session or some may wait and tip when the work is done.” This decision was made alone by them.

What should you tip for a unique tattoo?

Your tattoo artist will create bespoke tattoos for you, unlike flash tattoos or those that are ready-made. Whether it’s a bespoke tattoo or a walk-in from a flash sheet on the wall, “the tipping technique would remain the same,” Cornolo explains.

Although bespoke tattoos can be more expensive and require more work, it is common to tip a percentage based on overall costs for both scheduled and walk-in appointments.

Tattoo artists prefer cash?

Sinatra thinks customers should inquire about whether they would prefer to tip their tattoo artists in cash or using a credit card. The choice is up to the artist.

Cornolo found that the best monetary tips were effective. Since certain tattoos may be rather pricey, it’s essential to know in advance if your tattoo artist prefers cash or card tips.

You can show your appreciation by tipping and also help artists who rely on gratuities. But Sinatra says tips are never required, so there’s no need to worry about leaving one. However, such kindnesses are always appreciated.

Final thoughts on stock market tattoos

While a tattoo might be visible to the public as a sign that you trade stocks, there is still no evidence of whether they help in performance.
