MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – New Age Tattoo Studio It is raising awareness about suicide prevention and mental well-being.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the tattoo studio will offer specials on semicolons. A semicolon can be used as a symbol to denote the inability to stop but the desire to go on, and is also a sign of depression and suicide thoughts.
Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance will receive all proceeds.
“We came up with this event because we have a really large following and we receive good feedback on any promotion or benefit we do from the community. So we put that energy into something we could provide and donate to a local organization,” Owner Justin Gahn said.
Although tattoos cost $60 per person, anyone who doesn’t wish to get one can make a donation. This event is open for the public.
